The main plant life of this region includes temperate forsets; this forest can be divided into two main parts: the coniferous and deciduous forests. Some more common plants you may see daily (located in this region) are Evergreen Trees (also known as Palm Trees), Spanish Moss, Bushes, and Shrubs. The humid subtropics also have a wide variety of mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. Some more common animals in this area are Alligators, Deer, Panthers, and the Brazilian Capybara.

To be more specific, some animals that live in the US (included in the humid subtropical area) are Bottlenose Dolphins, Coyotes, Gray Squirrels, Copperhead Snakes, Gopher Tortoises, and Rabbits. Some plants located in the US are Hymenocallis Caroliniana, Callicarpa Americana, Milkweed, Tickseed, Black-eyed susan, and Red Maple.

Australia is also a part of the Humid Subtropical area. Some of the animals in Australia may include: Quoll, Kangaroo, Cockatoo, Echidna, Dolphins, Frilled Lizard, Whale Shark, Black Swans, Platypus, Wallabies, and Dingo. Some plants located in Australia are: Eucalyptus Trees, Daises, Yellow Billy Buttons, Pink Trigger Plants, Silver and White snow daises, Cypress Pine, and Tea Tree.

Uruguay is included in the Humid Subtropical area as well. Some of the plants located there include: Cacti, Evening Primrose, Verbena, Mimosa, El Ceibo, and Myrtaceae. Some animals that live here are: Pearson's Tuco-Tuco, Cook's Hocicudo, San Martin Red bellied toad, Whiptail Lizard, Grasshoppers, Flower Beetle, Tarantula, Wolf Spider, Land Snail, and Rocha Pearlfish.
