Humid subtropical climates are mainly found between 25 degrees and 40 degrees north and south on the eastern coasts of countries. However, in some cases this climate is spread far inland, such as the United States and China. While Mediterranean climates are located on the western side of continents, humid subtropical climates occupy the eastern sides. This climate is more common in the Northern Hemisphere; this is because the land masses in the Northern Hemisphere are larger than in the Southern Hemisphere. The main continents with humid subtropical climates are the United States, South and Central America, Australia, Africa, and Asia.
In the United States, this climate is found in Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Arizona, Mississippi, Tennessee, and eastern Texas.
Countries containing humid subtropical climate in Central and South America include Paraguay, Uruguay, southern Brazil, and northeastern Argentina.
Queensland and the western coast of Western Australia are Australian provinces which have humid subtropical climates in them.
In Africa, Angola, Zambia, Malawi, and Zimbabwe, and South Africa have a humid subtropical climate.
In Asia humid subtropical climate is found in northern India, China, and Japan.
